Van Dalecollege (Van Dale College)
In 1569 Canon Pieter van Dale of Antwerp, a former student of the University, founded this college for poor students from Antwerp and Aalst who wanted to study theology, philosophy or canon law.
This college is the only college to have been preserved in its original state and is also the oldest authentic Renaissance building in the city.
Since 1986 it again provides accommodation for students and currently houses the Student Facilities Department.
