Culinary 'hapje-stapje' walk
A walk through Leuven full of tasty stories about food and drink. And when your mouth starts watering, a savoury or sweet sample will be ready for you to taste.
From mediaeval markets to the present-day successful Friday market, from paltry meals in university colleges to culinary fireworks, from a university beer and wine cellar to the contemporary faculty bars, all this and much more is on offer.
- Duration of the walk: 2 hours
- Starting place: Ladeuzeplein
- End: vicinity of the Grote Markt
- Samples: 5, including an apéritif and the Leuven paté of Jeroen Meeus
- Price: € 50.00 for the guide and € 5.00/person for the samples
- Number of participants per group: minimum 6 and maximum 20 (there is a € 5 supplement per group for groups of fewer than 10 persons)
- This walk is only available during the normal business hours of the stores, i.e. not on Sunday or on Monday
