Conditions
- Basic fees: € 50 for the first two hours and € 25 per extra hour per guide. Charges start from the time of the appointment.
- Normally, this fee is to be paid to the guide in cash before the tour.
- For a visit to the Treasury of Saint Peter's an entrance fee per person is charged. The fee has to be paid by the group leader at the museum entrance. The admission fee can alter during special exhibitions.
- Owing to circumstances beyond our control, some buildings may be closed. We apologize for this inconvenience. We do our utmost to inform you as soon as possible.
- If the visit is cancelled without a timely notice (at least 4 days in advance), a bill of € 25 will be sent. This also applies for tours offered by the city of Leuven.
- The guide will wear a white-and-red badge with GIDS written on it. The tour will be terminated at the appointed time even if it started with some delay. If the group insists on having a full tour, an extra hour will be charged (see fees).
The guide will wait for the group for one hour. After this hour the guide will leave the place agreed on. The waitingtime will be charged € 25. - The Royal Leuven Guides' Association and the Leuven Tourism Department cannot be held responsible for accidents happening during the visit.
- The guide does not accept gratuities.
- Each group will be accompanied by one person who is responsible.
- When a tour is requested, the group has to organize the transport themselves. A seat and a microphone must be provided for the guide. The coach will only leave the place of appointment after the driver has been instructed by the guide.
- The town of Leuven offers a free tour to groups (at least 10 people- 2 hours) that come for congresses, colloquiums and seminars, if they stay overnight (2 nights). Applications must be made well in advance and in writing. Admission charges have to be paid by the groups.
- To optimally enjoy your visit, we advise you to ask one guide for circa 25 persons.
- Bookings must be made at least three weeks in advance.
