Aha! WetenStappen
Scientific walking route
WetenStappen in Leuven is a free scientific walking route through the university city of Leuven. All the faculties of the K.U.Leuven (university) - fourteen in total - display a large panel with a tricky question and a clever answer. In five languages and with info at kid's level too. 12 kilometres
walking or cycling can give you a lot of knowledge. A clever mind in a healthy body.
Passion
From June 2009, the theme of Aha! WetenStappen is 'passion'. The reason is the exhibition 'Rogier Van der Weyden 1400-1464 I De Passie van de Meester' (the Passion of the Master). This exhibition opens M, the renovated city museum, in autumn. And those clever people at the uni figured out how to explain passion from their scientific angle ... Curious too?
A free leaflet with map of Aha! WetenStappen in Leuven is available from Toerisme Leuven, In&Uit Leuven. You can also buy the booklet there for € 3. There is a booklet with the extended version of all questions and answers about the theme for every edition.
