After your registration in the city registry, you can apply for or renew a residence permit at the city office.

You can apply for the document 'proof of identity for a child under the age of 12' for non-Belgian children younger than 12.

Are you moving abroad and you do not have the Belgian nationality? Then deregister at the city office.
Right to return
If you are temporarily absent from Belgium, there may be a possibility to apply for the right to return.
Becoming a Belgian
You can automatically obtain Belgian nationality or you can obtain it by taking steps yourself. This is usually done by contacting the city.
